Music

While there was no first dance (trust us, nobody wanted to see that) music has been a big part of our lives. Our combined taste is pretty diverse, but we have a shared love of a lot of it. When we created these playlists for the event, we drew upon music that we use when we're crafting and writing, stuff from games we've both played, tracks we listened to while organising our celebration. They already felt like a bit of our soundtrack, and by playing them over the weekend they now are.

Drinkin'

We wanted to fill the outdoor bar with song that we both enjoyed and felt was a good fit with everything we had planned. We eventually managed to get it down to this eclectic mix.

Feastin'

The feast was a key moment we wanted to make work. We hid speakers throughout the hall and selected the best possible instrumental music we could find to quaff mead to. We even snuck some more recognisable songs in that we heard a few people pick up on.

Dancin'

Despite our meticulous planning, our cheesy wedding dance playlist never got aired. We had orginally planned to move half of the tables in the feast hall to create a dancefloor but in the end got absorbed in sitting around the fire, singing and sharing stories. It was the best possible mistake we could have made. We don't think we missed out at all!
